A little about myself...
I've always had an affinity for art ever since my first real art class which I took in 3rd grade at the age of 7. I still remember so much from that class too. it was an after-school, 1 day/week, 1-hr course where we experimented with paper mache, grid-sketching, free-drawing, clay molding, painting/watercolor, and so many other things.
From there on I took any art class that was available and dove into a graphic design course my junior year of high school. In my practices up to this point, using painter, photoshop, bryce 3d and final-cut was a breeze and I was actually asked to showcase my skills and knowledge on a daily basis. Unfortunately, there was no further graphic design education available at my high school and my solid interest faded over my senior year without a class to immerse myself within. I didn't start designing again until my senior year of college at which time I also began kicking myself for not going to an art-based university. Much of my work still visible today is from that 2nd-coming of my design obsession during the end of my college career.
I now work in the corporate world developing advertisements, special presentations & one-off design projects for our company's largest current & potential clients. These creative endeavors have consistently aided in closing new business as well as capturing more current business simply by building value visually in what the company does. I brought these in-house design capabilities to this company after working in sales for them and deciding I could be better utilized handling their creative marketing instead. Since then, this company has expanded it's brand recognition considerably and has learned the true value that creative advertising & in-house design can bring to the table.
In my spare time, I took up photography to further expand my capabilities within the creative world I love so much. After reading, studying & experimenting for just over a year now, its amazing to see how much progress has been made in the photographs I take. The most rewarding aspect of photography is getting to work with unique individuals for each set. Learning about what kind of photos each person wants is an opportunity for me to learn about them, what makes them tick, and how they view the world around them. I'm never more satisfied than after I've managed to capture & produce final images that meet & exceed their expectations... the reactions are always priceless.
I work daily to improve my photography and design skill-set in a constant, never-ending attempt to really make something of this...
